Glow – Laser Light Headphones That Pulse To The Music
Surely any self-respecting producer of electronic music wants to look like an extra from Tron? Now that dream can become a reality with this new Kickstarter project.
At the time of writing, Glow – “the first smart headphones with laser light” still has 20 days to go on Kickstarter and has already smashed its $100,000 target four times over. You can still head on over and pick a pair up at the Kickstarter special price of $149. As you can see in the video below, the glowing headphones can pulse in time with either the music you are listening to or your heartbeat. The headphones are heavily integrated with Android as well; the attached 5-way controller can be used to take photos, send texts, and control your media. Although the basic volume and light pulsing features will work with iPhones, full iOS integration looks like it may be a way off unless the project reaches its stretch target of $500k.
Glow headphones promise a balanced and natural sounding audio profile, but we will have to wait until they enter production before we can verify that. All we know now is that they look great, and we want them to develop an over-ear model that we can use when we’re DJing!
